Chips

These air-fried potato chips have 60 percent less fat than their store-bought counterparts. So, while making these chips yourself requires a little bit of effort, the result is a healthy air fryer recipe that’s salty, crispy, and addictive. Even better you can replace regular potatoes with beets or sweet potatoes for an even healthier treat.

Follow these steps for a versatile air fryer chips recipe:

  • 1 medium russet potato, unpeeled, cut into 1/8 inch thick slices (about 3/4 pound)
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Canola oil

First, soak potato slices for 20 minutes in a large bowl of cold water. Drain the potatoes and pat dry with paper towels. Wipe dry the bowl and add oil, salt, and pepper. Toss potatoes gently and coat. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Air fry at 375°F until cooked through and crispy, about 25 to 30 minutes. Using tongs, carefully remove chips. Serve with your favorite dip or plain.
